Elinor MarvinElinor Marvin received her Bachelor of Arts from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and continued her education by graduating from the Museum Art School, also in Portland. As an art instructor in Burlington High School in Burlington, Massachusetts, she taught ceramics, design, silk screening, print making, sculpture and theater design. At the same time, she continued education at the Boston Museum School majoring in silk screen with John Clift and sculpture with Peter Abate. Her one-man exhibitions include an invitational show at Barrett Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Blue Stocking Studio, Sculpture Court, Maine Gallery in Wiscasset, Maine, and the Barn Gallery here in Ogunquit. Among her many awards were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year scholarships to Museum Art School in Portland, Oregon, 1st and 3rd place Carrie Prizes in drawing at the Museum Art School, and Outstanding Secondary Educator Award from Burlington, Massachusetts. The Cuckle-Button Farm Gallery is delighted to have this extraordinary artist exhibiting her work. |
